New Project 2021: Author Spotlights!

Happy New Year!

It's great to be back to work! Last year was definitely a year I won't forget. Not only did the whole world shutdown for some time and change, but it was truly a time for reflection for me. I'm grateful for all I learned and accomplished with the help and support of others! There is still so much to be done and this year I want to support other author as much as I can. What better way than to start the year with a new support project for authors!

My new support project is called Author Spotlight. I started this project because I wanted to let other authors know that supporting one another is the best course of action. Yes, we can get deals for reviews, and other bundles for our books, but at the end of the day working together in the author community allows us to build and grow together!

Now, you know why. If you are an author/aspiring author, maybe you are wondering how this works for you. Well, you may not believe it but it's quite simple and there is not catch. I want to support YOU! I will support your story by posting on your book and content on all my platforms. That means post and stories on both Instagram and Facebook for a whole week (Monday to Friday). I will repost your related book content too! If you have your book on Amazon and Goodreads, I will give an honest review. I will write a blog about your book and at the end of the month, I will give a YouTube video shoutout to you. All you have to do is sign up on my website! I will send you and agreement so everything is transparent and we will exchange books via email. You have the choice to make a post, or/and story of my book. Anything beyond that is all up to you! That's it! Seriously!

This week, I was so pleased to have collaborated with Mary & Emanuel! They are the first of many Author Spotlights to come! They have an adorable book coming out soon called "What's An Og?". I love this fantastic book specifically because I am a teacher and I taught little grade 2 kiddos all about phonic sounds for English reading.

This awesome book used wonderful illustrations that are sure to captivated young readers and a great emphasis on repetition of the sound og. As a teacher, I believe other educators will definitely want this book to be added to their classroom library collection. Parents hoping to get their child started with reading with sound recognition will absolutely appreciate the beautiful simplicity and fun read this book has to offer. I really WANT a copy! (Thank you for collaborating with me, Mary & Emanuel! )

Supporting the author is not the only thing I hope to do. I also aim to let the authors share a bit about themselves too. I asked questions on the Sign up Form and they are later posted during the week so that others, whether authors, parents and potential supporters, may also connect with the authors and their journey.

I ask 4 questions:

1) What are 3 things you've learned about writing?

2) Why did you chose to write your book?

3) How do you hope to connect with your readers?

4) Share 1 accomplishment, 1 improvement, 1 mission (A.I.M. Reflection)

All these questions allow the authors to share their response to those interested in connecting with them and their new books. I am more that happy to support you and share your book with others! I already have another Author Spotlight ready for next week! There are even more opportunities to support new authors, so please connect with me and sign up so you can have your debut week for your book. Show the kind of author you are!

Like I always say, "Author Supporting Authors" is truly a major key to building a better author community! Join, contribute in the community and grow more everyday on your author journey !

I'm routing for you!
